I have been teaching group exercise and personal training since 1998, becoming certified through ACE and various fitness formats. In 2010, I completed certification for Pilates Mat and Apparatus Teacher through Pilates Physical Mind Institute. My extensive knowledge about body movement and corrective exercises has helped me and my clients bring more balance and stability to our bodies through Pilates exercises. Our personalities make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. Each client receives individualized attention. Whether you are new to exercise or an experienced athlete, InSPIRE Studio is a great place to train! EVERY BODY can benefit from Pilates! My mission is to improve the quality of life of my clients as well as my own. I truly believe Pilates is the best foundation to help our bodies become and remain efficient and strong.
My fitness career started in 2011 when I graduated as a Health Fitness Specialist along with becoming a NASM certified Personal Trainer, NETA Group Fitness Instructor, NETA Kettle bell instructor and TRX Suspension Training Certified. With my growing clientele base I also wanted to ensure that I was able to help with the nutritional side of healthy living which led me in 2016 to become Certified as a NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist. Exercise has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, I have always loved to run and strength train, then in 2015 the world of Pilates was opened up to me and I knew that this was something that could help my clients and myself immensely. I first became certified through the YMCA, then in 2018 I completed Peak Pilates level 1 certification. Pilates has become an exercise staple in my life because I have personal seen imbalances corrected and deep abdominal muscles strengthened in myself and my clients. My professional and personal goal is to make all bodies I work with feel able and confident to complete their individualized physical exercise program as well as making it a priority to feel mentally and spiritually strong every time they leave their session with me.
I have always had a passion for group fitness in my life. Being active has always been a priority. I wish I would've discovered Pilates earlier. It has truly changed my life for the better. I could feel the strength of my core increase after a few months. Soon after I decided to pursue my passion and became Peak Pilates certified in 2017. I believe Pilates is body changing for everyone. It has helped me strengthen and lengthen my core and help with my lower back tremendously. I also enjoy teaching Barre, TRX, Chair, Springboard and Jumpboard on the reformer. I can bring a variety of exercises along with different props to help enhance your workouts at InSPIRE Studio.
Movement has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up a dancer, I performed, choreographed, and spent many years teaching dance. My dance background includes ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe. I was also a Kilgore College Rangerette, which opened many opportunities for performing and coaching. After spending a few years staying home with my family and living abroad in Norway, my passion for movement was reignited. Discovering Barre and Pilates was a game changer for me. I am again channeling my love of teaching. I am currently instructing Barre, and actively working on my Pilates teacher training through Balanced Body.
I consider myself a health and fitness enthusiast. Having always loved group fitness as a way to exercise and be with like-minded people, I started participating in classes many years ago and fell in love. Since then, I have become a licensed Zumba instructor, an American Council on Exercise certified Group Fitness Instructor and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I’m excited to continue my training and plan to complete my 200-hour Yoga certification this fall. I care about teaching classes that are well planned, inclusive, safe, and effective. Teaching puts me in my “happy place”, knowing that I am helping others on their life’s journey in keeping fit and active!
Abby has been teaching barre since 2013 at various studios around the country. She has lived in Minnesota for about a year now where she moved to be closer to her family. Born and raised in Michigan, she has had the opportunity to live all over the United States before she moved to Minnesota. Throughout her moving experience, she always relied on teaching barre to bring her a great workout and a great community. Abby originally discovered barre as a workout after an injury from running. Ever since her first class in 2013, she became addicted to the quick results and loved the workout so much that she began teaching it! She loves how much strength you can build so quickly with a barre workout and the flexibility element of it as well. When she is not at the barre studio, Abby teaches high school literature and absolutely loves her career. She also enjoys hiking, spending time with family, and hanging out with her dog George in her free time! She is excited about bringing her barre experience to clients at InSPIRE Studio!
My fitness journey started back in 2001 when I met Kari. She inspired me to dig a bit deeper and become an instructor. I fell in love with Cycle from the moment I sat in the saddle! I’ve taught several formats over 12 years before taking a break. I recently renewed my Group Cycle Certification through NETA (National Exercise Trainers Association) and am ready to get back in the saddle with you! I am passionate about great music to create the best workout possible. Can’t wait to see you in the studio for a ride!
